EK4 Build!Track car!

My 3 EK's in garage!EK2-EK3-EK4(project on the right)

So engine spec so far is as follows!

B16A bottom end
Bored and honed 82mm
Forged and lightened crank
ACL race bearings
ACL con rods
APR headbolt kit
Buddyclub flywheel
AEM crank pulley
ITR inlet manifold
Port and polished to suit head
70mm throttlebody
RC440CC injectors
Vortech fuel pressure regulator
Buddyclub spec2 exhaust
Full length alloy rad


probably more there but forgotten!

Gearbox:
S4C LSD box(work done will update spec later on)
NGK stage 1 clutch

Brakes & Suspension:
Fully polybush car
Rear LCA's
CTR front calipers
282mm grooved discs
Yellow stuff pads
EK4 rear calipers
grooved discs
yellow stuff pads
Braided brake lines
Toyo R888

Interior:
Roll cage
EK9 black dash

So pictures of a few goodies!

So bought an EK4 bare shell!was stripped poorly so said id finishing stripping it fully first before i cracked on with anything

So i stripped underneath of car and prepared for underseal!i know this is more weight but i live by coast and salt air rusts everything!

So while tank and straps etc were down i said i was going to clean everything and paint them all!

so sealed up the underneath of car and then got tank and lines ran back in

now i started concentrating on the front wings!they were all different colours so going to paint them black!leaving engine bay same colour for now!

So my OMP 6 point bolt in cage arrived!

Done a test fit and started to prepare car to weld mounting plates

Power hosed underneath!I just used a steel wire brush on a drill!and finished with sandpaper!

So over the weekend i got the mounting plates for roll cage welded in!

Havent been cleaned up yet but this is the idea!

so once these were all in and welded!next was to align the bolt holes to be drilled!

i marked the holes and then removed the cage as trying to drill holes wouldnt work when it was in the way!

So small update again!

Started to cut unwanted panels in the car!

So was going to cut out 4 holes below the window and the T section in the middle but scraped this idea and went all out!

So polybush kit arrived from Tegiwa!

Also started preparing cage for some paint!

And got it primered!

Thats it for now!

So dont know where to even start ha

Totally forgot i even started a build thread on this site!

So that was the cage painted black!Now for the interior of the car!

So that was the inside all painted up!So time for cage back in!

Over this whole build i went from a road/track car to full on track car!I was mad for loosing as much weight as possible!so i went away and bought some goodies!
Fibreglass boot,bonnet and wings!Also bought a full set of lexan polycarbonate windows!

So that should help keep my weight down!I also went and bought a set of BC BR type coilovers!

Also dont a 282mm disc conversion on the front!So CTR callipers,Rover 282mm discs drilled and grooved and ferodo ds2500 pads all around!

So bought a set of Kosei p1's!They wernt in the best of shapes so time to refurb them!Never doing wheels again ha torture of a job!

Yeah lots of updates man just trying to organise all the pictures!the car is currently on the floor ready for powerplant to be put in!ill organise pictures and stuff today and update some more!Im hoping between 800-900kg!
