Personally I used an oven cleaner :D

It's very efficient, just let it for 2-3 mins and rub with a brush.

This thread needs an update as i didn't post for a while.

I finished the engine assembly and started it for the first time in May.

Some photos to show it:

I barely tried my new chassis setup around in some nice corners and I have been very surprised, even with a perfectible wheel alignment and used front tyres. Torsen must be a satanic invention ... there is no other way ...

I took some picture with my old & crappy iPhone.

In October i worked a bit on the mapping and got the car back home to work more often on it.

As the engine break-in was quite advanced I decided to try the VTEC.
As a result a few fuel was missing ... something about 35-40 % @ WOT ! so i decided to change my injectors. Moreover, one day some cams may be installed ^^

Here is a list of what have been done since mid' of October:

- New front wheel bearings
- New lower ball joints
- ARP long wheel studs (installed only front at the moment)
- Black D1 spec Lug nuts
- B&M Fuel Pressure Gauge
- Acura RDX 410cc (@ 40psi) injectors
- Uninstalled the A/C
- EK9 mastervac + brakes bleeding

In parallel I bought a Top fuel BC pillar ! I will paint it black before mounting.

I took some pictures. It really needs an intense cleaning.

The engine bay without the A/C:

I drove it yesterday to check if everything was Ok and remap a bit because of injectors change ... The VTEC is set at 5200RPM at the moment and is kicking really hard ...

It pulls very strong for a B16 even with a basemap (finishing the AFR tuning and didn't start to adjust Timing)

Last news.

Just a short video to share with you the sound of the Top Fuel Catback

But it was before a small accident ...

I also sold my whale intake and bought an ITR airbox. There is a noticeable difference in midrange.

Nice work. Looks like its goin to turn out to be a lovely ek! ek9 wheels? Spot on every time.

Time to update :D

Beginning of this year I changed my old crappy tyres and bought 4 monsters. They're very impressive !

In February I had a timing belt failure ... I probably done some mistake when I did it ...

After a while not working on the car I controled everything and didn't see anormal things. My valve clearance was still the same so there was no bent valve (lucky me). Reassembled everything and it's runing fine, I did 5000 km without problems this summer.

It was time to update some interior stuffs. Changed the steering wheel and threw all SRS system (Driver & passenger airbags plus SRS ECU) to the garbage.

I had some doubts about my subframe because of strange caster angle on my wheel alignement report so I changed it.

Following this, I changed my valve cover for a flat black one. Changed my 3 points strutbrace for a genuine MUGEN. I also unmounted the H-brace and sold my legend calipers to go back to EK9 ones. My front drivetrain feels a lot lighter and handling has been considerably improved.

20mm spacers front and 16mm spacer rear.

And what I'm planing for the end of the year:
- 20mm spacers on rear
- No spacers on Front + other front LCA to get 40mm more each side (still had to confirm if it can be done)
- Modification of front fenders
- Get a seeker V2 style spoiler with Kevlar wing

Next year projects:
- Fully P&P head with Supertech flat valves
- Some cams (Maybe DDtech cams)
- 4AGE ITB Home made adaptation
