ek4 SiR heating problem

as above brought my sisters car for a spin noticed the temparature needle isnt working, needle didnt budge at all also heater is only blowing out cold air not hot air what so ever.
radiator pipes were both warm so thought it could be a thermostat, received the thermostat part number 19301-PAA-306 this morning so i replaced it bolted it up filled up with coolant topped up when needed,still nothing at all

any ideas?? really stuck and need the car on the road as mine is of the road

Got sorted with the heater turns out a cable that goes into the firewall and out to the engine bay wasn't connected onto the bottom of the rad pipe, still no temperature needle working

Most likely the cluster or the sensor on the head

coolant temp sensor underneath the dizzy?? ordered one from motor factors this morning should be here monday would it be worth while leaving the fan wired on while im driving just to be safe?
