EK9 Alarm Requirements

Hi all hope youre doing well.

Was just a quick one, but when it comes to alarms for EK9s / Imports, I was lead to believe a Thatcham 1 was needed for insurance purposes? Its one of those where Im doubting myself now, what is the case as I need to replace my current alarm and want to make sure I get the correct type.

Not too fussed on fancy bits just want a solid alarm for security and to satisfy insurance needs.

No requirements for any kind of alarm as far as I am aware. I’ve never had an alarm fitted to mine and never had any problems insuring it.
