I'm asking this question on behalf of Jmanmartin as he's probably hard at work trying to get his civic back on the road! Basically he has an Ek4 vti, he blew up the engine so fitted a B18c4 from an Mb6, then he blew that up, so he's just bought a B16b Ek9 lump, dropped out the 'c4 and bolted in the B16b.
One difference we noticed is the passenger side top mount (pic below)
The mount on the block doesnt line up with the mount from his Ek. The 2 'studs' are closer together than the other 2 engines the the size of the thread on the 2 'studs' on the B16b is alot smaller. As a tempory measure we re-drilled the metal mount plate to accomodate the more narrowly located studs, but then we realised that the thread pitch stops half way down the stem of the studs
Anyone got any ideas? or pictures of Ek9 mounts???
