Hi, I have been looking throught all the posts and there seems to be alot of different exhausts for the ek9.

Im soon to purchase my new ek9 and I want to put a decent exhaust system on it. I would like either Spoon or Mugen cat back, Toda or Spoon header(manifold) and what de-cats are availible?
Im in the UK and am new in ordering parts for a jap import so where is the best place to get these parts form

Cheers

I recommend you to include the 5Zigen header in your list as well!! :nice:

One question, are you allowed to run your car without a cat in your country?

Toda / Spoon header, is a great option, I want my Toda header :(

get what ever you think looks the best, if its too loud just add a resonator.

I think for headers 1Toda-2spoon-3mugen in that order

For exhaust systems 1spoon-2j'sracing-3hks hi power

mugen exhaust or toda (loud though), defo the toda header, just about best header you can of the shelf without going for custom top end header like hytech, smsp, rmf etc

best to get same brand header/exhaust especially in cases like toda and mugen as products designed to work together

spoon or toda header defo, j's racing system my first choice, great noise but very loud otherwise spoon/mugen system. mugen being the not so loud for normal everyday driving

good luck :nice:

Yeah thats what i wanted to do was to get the same brand all the way throught but i can only find a toda header, they dont do the rest of the exhaust. If I got the toda header and spoon mid and rear box, would they work together ok. Also where am i likely to get these parts from? in the UK?

cheers

hmm...that sounds strange....to be honest I have no problems at all and it performs great, especially in midrange. Also, I know a lot people here running this header and they are pleased as well. Perhaps it was problematic or not proper job was made :)

i have an Apexi N1 exhaust on mine. Only bad thing is how low it hangs though, comes straight under the car literally and under the lower rear tie bar.
Have 5Zigen on the SiR and found it very good...
