EK9 in Amsterdam

lol planning to!

got a new pic from a meet last monday. kinda like it :)

decided to go more for a track-oriented build with this car. It will be time consuming but hopefully in the end it'll all be worth it :)

got a set of fresh rubber in today. Read some good stuf about 'm so i bought me some Toyo Proxes R1R's.

will probably be fitted on the car tomorrow!

R1Rs are a great tire, You'll love the grip they provide. They will smear during a track session though.

I'm going for a set of advan AD08Rs on mine now, which will offer the same grip but are a bit more resitant to smearing.

so i've heard indeed. Well these will just be for the daily drive. Am looking to tracking the car a bit more but i will first give it a few tries on my OEM wheels. Will probably look into the AD08R's for the 15" set though.

so my first thoughts on the R1R's are very good!

had 'm fitted last saturday. my previous tires were pretty much done with so this was very refreshing.

i'm still getting rid of the protective layer but first thoughts on the R1R's:

grip:
they grip very well first feel. haven't gone all out on them obviously but man these things feel good. The car's turn-in is very direct and they aren't as soft as some people may say they are.

sound:
none. My previous tires were noisy starting from 40km/h and up. These can hardly be heard at any speed basically. My car hasn't got an OEM exhaust or line at all but i'm very satisfied.

I'll get more on this once i've made the 700km's to go really all out on these.

on the street they are great, feels like you can take roundabouts at any speed you want :))

Either I'm high as balls, or that EK is really damn clean :) Can't say I've been to Amsterdam recently, so going with the amazeballs civic! Looks sweet man

cheers mate. it's got it's roughness as far as bodywork goes but it has been a daily for 5 years.

on that note; got a new daily as of yesterday :D Went and got my girl n me an ej9. she needs some love but is bone stock, 97 model with the VTI interior (silverstone model)

gonna be doing some to that although less than with my own 9. The 9 however will now be as i imagined her for a long time. starting with ditching the interior and getting some money aside for a cage :)

cheers mate.

time to have some fun with the 9 indeed :)

His and hers :)

had the 9 cleaned last weekend again. get off all the dirt, nice shine etc for the HEM5 meet taking place next week in France. Thinking about throwing her a bit lower but am still in doubt about this. After the meet i will probably start taking out the interior panels in the back and see if i like it empty again.

for now a quick shot i took. sorry for the 'bad' quality.

I think she sits about right. doesn't need to go lower.

I thought you were in readers rides in the latest issue of honda tuning but judging by the number plate it was a more recent import.

so there are now two EK9s on bronze TE37s in NL also with a STR sticker.

edit checked the previous page and you also have a 3 letter plate. but it didn't say owned by Tim in HT ;-)

Very very clean! Just arrived here and just picked up a 1.4L City model as my daily. Definitely not a 9 but looking to dress her up. Any recommendations on where to acquire genuine parts here locally? Thanks.

thanks man. I'd have a look at all4honda . they do some good stuff :)

also keep an eye out on the usual boards (mostly HondaCommunity) for people selling some good stuff :)

All4Honda is good. and indeed check the forums (allthough the activity there is declining)

the belgian Honda club forum is also a good resource.

Genuine parts aren't that easy to come by but that's half the fun :D having stuff that not everybody has.
