EK9 Insurance

Hi all. I joined this site last year as I was going to buy an EK9 until I found out how much it would be to insure one! lol! I was only 17 at the time. However I will be 20 in a few months and have been driving now for two years. I haven't got any no claims as I have been a named driver since I passed my test. I have just renewed my cars insurance in my name so I can get a no claims bonus. I just got a quote with elephant on an ek9 with me 20, passed 2 years with 1 year NCB. The quote came back with £1514.43 fully comp. I just want to see if anyone on here is insured with elephant on a 9?

Also I know that some insurance companies come up witht these cars as a VTI-R import etc. So what I did was, I got a reg number off an EK9 on the net, entered that and it did in fact come up with VTI-R import. So surely it must be correct?

Try Adrian Flux and also Sky Insurance.

They were both the cheapest for me.
