ek9 main relay clicking

hey all,

Looking for a bit of advice with my ek9. This morning when i went to start it it refused while the main relay persisted to click and click. The relay remains clicking while the key is left in position 2 in the ignition barrel. The fuel pump does not prime.

Where do i start with fixing this issue. Would it be the relay or am i looking at another problem with the ignition system.

Any help you may have would be great.

I had this problem before, try disconnect the main relay and connect again, it got it going for me straight away. It started to keep happening though, i had to hit the main relay every now and again to get it going, eventually i just bought a new one from Honda and have never had the problem again.

If money is tight you can open the main relay and you can resolder the connections and it'll be just like new also

Update :

Ended up sending the car off a mechanic. The problem was a bad ground underneath the distributor he said. Blew the relay as a result!

Glad it had nothing to do with the alarm though, the thing would be a monster task to pinpoint with the size of it ! :nice:
 
I want literally going to post about the grounds. I've had problems in the passed where the grounds have stopped the car ticking over. Glad you got it sorted.
