ek9 on rolling road @ hypertech

nice work :nice: Its looking good, what power did it makes and whats your spec?

Thanks guys! It has an HKS silent hi-power cat back, was running J's racing intake at that point and nology plug leads. So pretty much standard. The intake temps were really high (thats why the bonnet was up) and the reason it no longer has the J's intake! It ran 165.1bhp, every honda ran around 20bhp down on power that day (making excuses haha). EP3 with intake and full system ran 184.1bhp and Prelude Vti with intake and system ran 183bhp, so who knows what was going on! lol

HKS sounds nice, none of that raspy crap. Whats the DB ratings on it m8?

im impressed you knew it wasnt 4th! lol

im not 100% sure what db it is but it cant be more than 96db, it hardly makes a noise on idle, screams when you open it up though!

On a dynodynamics rolling road last year even with a badly dented manifold my ek9 ran 168 bhp in 3rd gear and 186 bhp in 4th gear so running it in 4th gear makes all the difference

Anybody got a link for HKS Silent Hi-Power for EK in UK?

thats cheered me up!

im not sure if they still sell this exhaust. I will be selling mine soon though,I fancy a change.

Figures as I couldnt see it anywhere. Nowt wrong with my oem at this time anyhow.

You dont get that kind of difference on Dynojets!

indeed, dynojet is the industry standard, the problem with dynopacks is that most read estimated flywheel horsepower which is usually 15% higher than a dynojet however it can be set to read like a dynojet, at the end if the day its a good dyno and very precise for tuning, i think any dyno is better than no dyno :nice:
