EK9 Shell

Buying a complete ek9 and selling what you don't want you might even make some profit if you have extra cash.me and my uncle building one from the ground up ATM and to be honest not worth the hassle

I'd like to but I don't have the cash, just bought a house haha!

A chap on ITR-DC2 is breaking a black one, dont know about the shell condition though.

Already seen it mate, wasn't in particularly good condition though.

care to explain what in your opinion is not in "particularly good condition" ?
i have seen the shell myself whilst in bens ownership and its probably the most rust free shell i have seen apart from one of the wings which from memory had a section on paint splitt near the bumper.

i spoke to ben after you had viewed the shell and he said that you didnt even seem to have the funds ?

just thought i would set the record straight and best of luck finding your showroom condition shell for £500

But it's not, the holes in slam panel at the front has been pried apart presumably to fit the carbon grill. 2 dents on either side of the car which he failed to mention. The underside and arches do have rust on them, albeit not rotten but rust free means rust free. The drivers side front wing was in bad shape and definitely needs replacing. Under the front wings there was a substantial amount of surface rust. And the plates for the cage had started to rust quite badly.

Who said i only have £500 to spend? I've got £2500 i could quite easily spend on a shell but i want something decent for that sort of money. I personally think £1500 for that car in the condition with no suspension, wheels, brakes etc is overpriced.

Maybe i'm being fussy about finding one, but i know what a mint car is, and that shell wasn't what i would describe as mint. During the time that i was contemplating buying it, I spoke with Neil (the previous owner) and he said the car is in no way near the condition it was in when he built it.

Hmmm £1500 without rims, suspension etc.... Makes my shell seem like a great deal.advertised at £1500 complete rolling... And it is a great shell, rust free...

If only it was easier to get to Northern Ireland mate, i would've already snapped it up from you.
