ive owned alot of diffrent honda's over the past few years, mainly eg6's and DC2 ITR's. i always had a soft spot for the EK9 though so last month i went and got myself one. i also own an rx7 fd but thats been tucked away for repairs and hibernation over the next few months.

all fitted pretty much as OEM bar 1 wonky rubber mounting.
sounds fantastic in vtec. all in all very happy.
not so much with the de cat, not a great clamp. blows a touch now and again. might get something better made up or splash a few tacs of wled on it for a better seal.

next on the list is to fit the intake manifold. ive heard you have to re route/join/blank some of the lines on the FPR or iacv?? can anyone shed any light on this. search brought up info on here but all the pics had expired/been taken off.

thanks
:))

love that style of tail pipe! Were did you buy all the new stuff from if you dont mind me asking?

thanks

Ben

all the exhaust gear was from tokyo express ben. have to be fair nice price although he did mention something about the last in stock at an offer price. also recived it within 3 working days which is always good.#
i know tanabe's are usually on the ridiculously loud side (especially minus the cat) but this one is the 93db model. not too bad until higher up the rev range which is exacty what i wanted

if i go out and about tonight ill try and get some tunnel run footage as theres some great tunnels by me. ill also try and get some better pics.

sweet, you can get a bunge for it anyway cant you?

I look forward to the vids love to know how it sounds.

Get much power gain?

yeah you can, looks a bit shizzle mind i must admit. i didnt bother.

definately noticed a gain and feels smoother up the rev range. when the rest is on + maybe an exhaust mani and a tidy management system ill put it on the rollers.

have you fitted the ITG filter yet? like to know wether its any good or not coz iv never heard of it lol!

na not as yet, il do it at the same time as the intake manifold. heard great reviews on it. also seen 'claims' of 7bhp from it nad around the same from the manifold.
suprised you havent heard of the ITG kit. quite a few sell it. plus its less than half the price of the mugen kit. alos looks good with the carbon fibre. i love the look of CF lol!

It is a good kit I had it on my old eg6 and it worked a dream! Up there with the mugen and like you said half the price!!!!!

kewl may have to look into it then.

yeh i love anything carbon fibre!

theres a new aston martin thats full carbon fibre!

and that mugen fn2 rr which is 90% carbon fibre body!
