Hey everyone, I ve been doing a ton of research on what my first car should be, and I ve settled down on the EK9 Civic. Due to the economic state of my country, I probably wont be able to do any big mods to it for at least the first five years I own it, so I m looking to buy the best platform EK9 there is. In Greece there are a lot of VTi eK9 Civics, but I ve only managed to find 2 Type Rs. Which one would you recommend and why, and also could you let me know of the differences between the two? ( I ve already done some research but the results were inconclusive so I turned to this forum for help) :thanks:

VTI and the EK9 are very different, there's a lot of differences between them both.
Different engine and strengthened shell on the EK9 for starters, the list is very long.

Still though, in many used car sites, civics listed as EK9 VTi. So should I just wait until I find a Type R?

EK specific, VTI is an EK4 so is a VTI-S

EK9 is a Type R, the price difference between them both should be significant too as the EK9 is more desirable
VTI 160hp
EK9 185hp

Thanks a lot. So I m going to be trying to find a Type R (which I ve seen 2 listed for about 5.5k). But would the VTI be a good second option?
