Well guys I'm after my 1st EK9 so if you can help or point me in the right direction would be muchly appreciated! :nice:

Ive seen a few posts like this in here so I'll be as specific as possible as that's what others have been told ...

I am currently in the process of selling my current car (close to sale). I will have around £6600, I guess that could be rounded up if need be. Is this a healthy sum?

Would preferably like the car with full interior, I'm not too keen on the Silver EK9's myself, so any of the other colours would be a treat! Would travel if I thought it was worth it! (UK & Ireland)

Not too clued up on Importing but that is an option once I have full knowledge of what is involved.

Prefer face lift to pre ... I think that's everything??

Thanks in advance :nice:

Another - possibly my pick of the three already posted due to modifications, i'd bin the bonnet tho lol

Honda : Honda Civic Ek9 Type R

Although this is just some browsing - if i was buying i'd be looking over the car in very fine detail !

Cheers for the replies mate :nice:

Im feeling the last 2 CW ones you have found, no Japanese service history, is this common? No service history with a 'normal' car would be a problem for me ...

99% of imports have no history so don't worry!

Just watch out for race spec cars, I'd say full spec cars are more desirable and worth that little bit extra.

The fresher the import the better. Atleast that way there less of a chance of rust and you can underseal it properly.

Don't worry about service history too much, but do worry if there are no import documents like the auction sheet. And don't go anywhere near Z-Motors, I think they are based in Manchester too.

Yep, auction sheet is mega important IMO. Someone could be trying to see you a r/ra grade car which is not always the best car to have.

What did you head about z motors? When I was looking for a ek9 they had 2 that were a real low milage and when I enquired I was told they were grade 3.5's?

Is Z-Motors on Ashton old Road? If so the garage was completely empty Saturday just gone! Either a good day or they are no longer?? I always had a cheeky look in there when driving past.

Excuse my ignorance but what is an r/ra grade car? Guessing not good ...

R could be either a repaired (may not be a accident) or modified car.

RA is a accident repaired car.

I'm sure it's something like that anyways.

just out of interest mate what makes you speak so poorly of this company?

I know someone with a nice one coming too but it's going to be out of your budget I think.
