Hi people

Possibly looking to buy a EK9 next month when i get back to the UK. Wont be lookign for anything to highly modded probably as close to standard as possible. Just as a heads up what are the things to look out for? Are there any common faults etc?

Cheers

Scotty

Common faults????? It's a honda buddy......no faults on Hondas ;) Just look for a enthusiast owned cause you know he looked after it. Make sure there's no rust on the rear arches and engine has timing belt & water pump changed. Also make sure there's no smoke on idle or vtec and a crunch free gearbox.

as above really

the most common things to go are the oxygen sensor and distributer

im considering selling mine in the near future so if your interested then let me know

Another pointer, check inside the boot for leaks and to see if the rear lights have previously been sealed.

The lights are usually sealead with rtv silicone when really they should have new gaskets.

Silicone is a pain to remove from paintwork!

Cheers guys

Probably lookign for a facelift model if not a Rx but there doesnt seem to be a lot of them going about.

Less common with the B16B but still work checking for smoke during VTEC.
