hi guys im just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, i bought a de-cat pipe for the ek9, fitted it and not a problem,when i put the cat back in for MOT the engine management light came on, it only comes on once the engine has warmed up, has this happened to anyone else? it resets its self when i turn the engine off but come back on after a couple of seconds of starting it back up, could it be the lambda sensor?

any help much appreciated

Yeah symptoms sounds exactly like the 02 Sensor (lambda sensor).
 
^^yup, i agree, sounds like the o2 is on its way out. a simple replace is needed ey?
 
When it happened to mine I bought the replacement from Lucas which is the company that made them for Honda, saved a fair bit of cash too as I only paid £80 whereas honda wanted £120 or somethin rediculous IIRC

It came from them in the Lucas packaging exactly as the Honda one would with the correct plug etc as essentially it is the exact same.
