engine not idling correct

a did a b16a2 swap and the engine was running perfect in my other car and its now in my other civic and its not idling nice, its sitting at about 1500rpm when cold which isnt bad, but when it gets warm it sits about 2500rpm. there is a wee stud under the throttle leaver that the cable goes on to. should i adjust that? someone said a sticky idle valve. but surely it would vary? could it be a vacuum hose? or my throttle position sensor needs reset? any help please?
