Hay just a brief intro I'm new to the Honda so please bare with me living in Dover at the moment driving an ek4 vti so if you see me give us a toot!

Anyway main reason for the post is I currently have a standard manifold, de cat and a buddyclub spec2 system. Although I love the sound, makes me smile every time I drive it, running it as a daily it's just far too loud!! When I brought the car the previous owner gave me a spoon n1 rep system that he was going to fit but never got around to it.

My question is he told me that I would need a new decat for the car before fitting the new exhaust as it'll be too short by like 6 inches, why is this? Would a Tegiwa adjustable de-cat be the easiest solution for the time being? He also said that it would knock/rattle on the rear control arm any quick + cheap way to solve that?

The EK9 catalyzer is shorter than the EK4 item. If the Spoon system is for an EK9, the mid pipe will be longer than an EK4 system. Also, (iirc) the EK9 manifold has a 2.5" collector, and the VTi has a 2.25" inch item.
I think the backbox has the same size piping on both the EK4 and EK9.

UK exhaust systems wer made with a 16" long cat while the import civics have a 12" cat

if your wanting to quiet it down id put a standard cat back on it, a straight through system is always going to be noisy

Hi don't want it totally stock quiet but anything a bit more quieter Than my buddyclub system would be great haha
