Driving an Eg6 sir and been looking into coilovers and a few I've looked at have asked if its a fork or eye type suspension so I thought I'd ask what have I and how do you tell the difference??

Also any coilovers you could recommend would be appreciated!!

Cheers, Kevin

its the bottom of your shock, eye type looks like a ball with a bolt going through it, fork type looks like a fork with two teeth but a bolts going through each tooth! take a picture and put it up and any of us can tell you!

Eye type= damper mounts inside the LCA
Fork type= damper mounts over the top of the LCA

"Eye" type suspension was on all dc2's and jdm eg/crx models. As yours is a jdm model it should be the eye type rear suspension. "Fork" type can e found on UKDM eg's, ek's and CRX's.

The two types of LCA's are inter-changable so dont think your stuck to using the type thats on your car :nice:
