Well, I just ordered F.E.A.R. Gold Edition because I played the demo of F.E.A.R. 2. I had played the demo of the original F.E.A.R. but for some reason didn't like it. I think I've developed a taste for horror games recently, sort of. Half-Life 2 kinda got that started though it isn't really what I'd call horror. From there was Crysis which is more just military with mildly scary alien element thrown in here and there (Crysis Warhead not scary at all), then I got Bioshock. Ok now we are gettin warmer.
Well, now I played the F.E.A.R. 2 demo and it was just ****in awesome. So much so that I just ordered F.E.A.R. Gold so as to understand it better. Unfortunately, no store I trusted carried the platinum edition (which had the Director's Edition of the original and the 2 expansions) but Amazon had the Gold version which is the same as the platinum, just minus the Perseus Mandate expansion. I'm also gonna have to get that expansion (if I want it) separate.
Now I can't wait for F.E.A.R. 2 to come out. That demo was so great I thought. Even the horror parts I was havin fun. Since I was expecting a lot of the stuff (and I played it with the lights on), it didn't startle me as much as the original F.E.A.R. demo. In the original's demo, I didn't know exactly what the game was about and it scared the **** outta me. I had played it at midnight with all the lights out.
So anyone else played the demo yet? I believe it's available for PS3, XBOX 360, and PC. I played the PC version obviously. Had to tweak the controls a little but it played well.
