Had an indecent with my carbon bonnet coming off on motorway..... :nono:

SO

Looking for either:

1. Good/great condition Y-56 Sunlight Yellow facelift EK4 bonnet

or

2. Great condition Carbon Bonnet (no vents or bulges)

Would prefer pick up so needs to be in Glasgow/Edinburgh area, can discuss further by PM if required.

The skin decided to unstick and flip off into fast lane leaving the fibreglass support on......suspect the air was getting in under it and pressurised the underside and then POP...... Went back for it but its got too many stress fractures :(( Will make a thread soon showing it :angry:

Would prefer Y-56 as i dont want to do a full respray again! Will keep it in mind though cheers :nice:
 
That's a scary thought stuck at the back of my head now.. Lol. Aw cool man, hope you get it sorted man. That's unlucky as hell.

I suggest bonnet pins 100% now! No matter how stupid they look, keeps the front down and eliminates air getting under! Just when my plans were about to get good, this happens :angry:
 
I've been contemplating in gettin some as well.. The flat ones, but don't want to ruin the bonnet... Contact jrdn92 actually, I think he's got a y56 bonnet and he's local too :)

Good shout :nice: Cheers bud, as you can guess im fed up now and motivation is low....... If i get OEM i will be selling my Carbon Spoon Spoiler and go back to OEM :angry:
 
Would need to be perfect, would have fixed mine if I wasn't OCD about it. Cheers though buddy :nice:
 
He's coming round to mine after he's done with his football I think so I'll let him know you're looking for one if he still has it!

It would have been worse if it hit windscreen but the fact it just took off made it less scary......

Hopefully my bad luck is a lesson learnt and help others! :nice:
