Jus a quick question for u guys to help me decide on a car, would there be a difference in insurances prices between the facelift verions of the ej9 and the standard version? If the standard one is cheaper, is it possible to swap front bumpers from the 2? :)

Shouldn't make a difference really and ye you can swap the front bumpers!!

Should be no difference in insurance price between them, and as said you can swap the front ends.

Thanks guys, I'd rather go for the facelift version, think it looks hella vicious :D

Nah man defo no problems with the insurance, they have the same engine so all good! As said the bumpers will swap over ;)
Do you have a pre-facelift? If not just buy a facelift much less hassle

The bumpers dont swap straight over! Its a full front end swap, like i said by pm mate.

There the same, however if you go for a 1.4 sport then they charge you slightly higher even though its the same engine ;)

Either way if you want to swap the bumpers then its a full front end swap :D

May as well go for the standard 1.4 I'm pushing it with a 1.4 for a first car as it is, and by the time I've swapped the front end I'd have lost money haha, anyway dougal, do u own a s2k? ;) spoon type one sticker on the dash? :p

Jus thought it might cz of the different body work even tho its a slight change, sorry if it was a silly question :/ prefer no bump strips haha

@rippu, I know mate this was posted before I pm'd u about that subject haha cheers bro u've helped me a lot with the info :)

when you say sport do you mean like the fusion or the tropica, im being quoted 4k for a 1.4 fusion

There are a few civic sport hatchbacks, you will know when you see sport at the boot, just like how you see fusion and tropica. I believe the special editions are given a name to their colours and are made same spec as the other normal 1.4s. Although I'm not entirely sure why Honda made such a range. Anyone know?

Better with the facelift mate. Majority of facelift model EJ9's came with 262mm front discs like the EK4's, where as pre facelift and with 243mm front discs.

correct, also meaning u cant upgrade bigger brakes either without having to do a full hub swap, as 262mm or 282mm carriers dont fit onto 242mm hubs.

Nuno.
