fianl drive 4.928?

alri lads ive been planin to get my new excedy clutch in next week and im think bout puttin a final drive 4.928 in aswell,,dose anyone have this final drive in the car and is ther a big improvements in it and any gains frm 0_60 and more,i knw u lose top end speed but do u knw by hw much???and is anyone sellin one???
 
i bought a mfactory 4.9 final drive and light weight fidanza flywheel for my old 9 but never got round to fitting them:(( make a good bit of difference though a worth while mod as long as you dont do a lot of motorway cruising lol

I have the Mfactory 4.928 Final Drive in my ek9 B16B. I think it is excellent, defo more power in the low revs and more torque through each gear! it is great fun and at a great price too!:nice:

Defo good gains 0-60 but not sure on the accurate amount as I have not stopwatched myself or been back on the strip yet. I will be next month tho!:) I havent really checked what my top end is now as I am not one to go rallying about in the 100mph + range but it will be around 120ish mph I reckon.

I matched my final drive with a Spec stage 2 clutch, mfactory lightweight flywheel, mfactory trans bearings and mfactory sychros and I have had no probs! been great fun!!:nice:

Aw mate you should have, its great fun! if you werent planning on a B18 you should get 1 again! I do do alot of motorway miles and it can be a pain at times especially with a Tanabe SMR system and no cat!:nerv: ear defenders needed!lol cruising at 70mph, 5th gear at 4.5k revs! lol fuel economy has gone a bit but who cares eh! lol:clap:

i know man gutted i never got round to it:(( for the cash i can do the swap for think i'll be stickin to that though lol for one of the best "bang for buck" though the gearset is defo a good way to go:nice:

quite right mate coz the swap is well worth the money and you can get it done at very good rates now! :nice:

I had the chance to get it done, I could get it done on friday by jamie on friday when I am at his bit if I wanted but the reason I dont wana go B18 is too many people have and I would defo miss the raw feel and aggressive crosseover of the B16B! I had a shot of my mates teg and my other mates
B18 ek9 but I just love the B16B better!

Good basic upgrade. Better then most engine mods. PM Timmiblc he has an Mfactory 4.928
