anyone handy at filling in the UK V55 form for registering an import???

looking through mine last night and had a basic guide off the net.but it said to get alot of information off the ECOC or that details not needed if SVA present. now as the cars 10 years old in nov i wont have a SVA test so where do i get the info on the ECOC it keeps mentioning.

hi mate, just fill in the obvious stuff like the car ,colour, chassis number,a lot of the stuff on the form is irrelevant, and if you miss anything when you go in to register it (in the dvla local office) they will help, remember and take your c&e 386(customs receipt) and your drivers licence with you when you go in aswell.
need any other info give me a shout.

cheers for that mate :)

so all i should need is the V55..the C&E 386....de reg documents....insurance????....and proof of ID/address and payment.

how long does it take to get your reg etc? the cars 10 years old in november so will i have to wait until then or can you put the forms in before but date them to start from nov etc.

hmm if your car was first registered in november it won't be able to go on the road until the 1st of december mate,i have waited before to avoid the sva test on previous cars i have imported, so i know this from experience, ask in your local office this 100% true.
but yeah as long as you have your mot,c&e,insurance, jap deregistration,i.d.,and the fee and filled in the form,it will take 2-3 days although they will tell you 72 hrs.
cant pre-date it either mate, sorry to give you the bad news, looks like your 9 won't be on the road until december.
