With a little extra time to myself over the christmas period I've had a go at refurbishing my Oem Ek9 Wheels and so far so good I think.:)

Tools used for this operation.....Nitro mors paint stripper, Wire wool, fairy liquid, masking tape, Plasticote Matt black spray paint and meguiars nxt All metal polish. (I'll exlude lots of patience and the numerous bottles of Theakstons Old Peculier real Ale as this is the norm for me anyway:naughty:)

Ok, I took the wheels down to the bare alloy and masked off the outer lip and area up to the spokes and sprayed with a few coats of paint.

After removing the masking tape i have treated with metal polish but want to know if I should laquer or leave as is ???
Can anyone help me out here ??

Cheers

thats look really cool, I did think about painting mine Matt Black.

not sure about the polish lip tho

take a with them on the car :nice:

erm, not keen sorry.

I wonder how they'd look in CW with red rim tape though, like these JDM 16s.

Might go for the CW with red rim at at a later stage.
I like that look too.

I have gloss laquered the wheels now and they have come up really well.
I'll fit them tomorrow and post pics too.

Not really keen on those to be honest.
Black with chrome lip is so played out...
Good effort though! :)

they look really small now mate... i liked them when you had them in black.

Non Taken.

I prefer this compared to oem look but to be honest I'm on the look out for some proper lightweight wheels.

not 2 kean on them bud. they will prob look good when u see them for real some cars are like that in a photo. would look better 2 if it was dropped a we bit. good try tho
