Anyone use an fm transmitter with their iPhone?

I've got one that plugs into the aux but the quality is awful.

If you can actually get a decent fm transmitter it will be better than getting another head unit as its just for my run about car.

Cheers.

Belkin make them mate, we sell them at work (halfords). Go in and have a look, someone should be about to explain them to you.

Yeah my mate has a belkin one its awsome, it stays in the car and plugs into your iphone via the jack instead of the large point, no interfearence or crackeling :nice:

Yea I've used one for years now as I'm too cheap to buy a head unit.

Quality varies between OK and shocking depending on local interference. Mine does not work in town centres.

Eventually I will get a Parrot A s t e r o i d. (Why the feck is A s t e r o i d censored?)

Save your money, I've tried two or three different models and they've all been **** I once bought the belkin one for my dad as a birthday present and it was politely donated back to me as he was sick of having to keep retuning it on long journeys. A cheap head unit with basic iPod functionality will work much better plus keep your device charged :nice:

Pretty much what blitz said, they're ****. I've used the Belkin model which use with the aux in your iPhone, signal fails often and if holds out it crackles often
I'm now looking into a headunit with the direct plug in

Cheers for the info. I'll see how cheap I can get a head unit for.

Griffin ones are pretty good, I work in Carphone an we sell alot of them an not had many back to be fair, but problem you've got is if ur radio aint digital it will have signal problems :( same as radio stations, If your phone has a2dp an your stereo is Bluetooth do it that way much better reception as Bluetooth is a much more stable connection

Hope that helps mate
