I've also just collected car from Automek in Glasgow.

A new ACT sports organic clutch kit and DC5 flywheel fitted.

I now have a little bit of "Type R" in the my "Type S" :))

I am a great believer in what you see on the outside, should be replicated under the bonnet.

As I was off work recently, I had time to park up the car in my garage and start paint, polishing and giving most things a bloody good clean.

Job number one, intake manifold -

Removed the rough casting, smoothed down surface, etch primed and given 3 coats of metallic silver enamel -

Was never happy with my engine bay, so time to strip everything off and give it a fresh coat of a new shade of Cadbury metallic purple I had sourced -

Paint was decontaminated, wet flatted, primed, 3 coats of colour and 3 coats of wet look lacquer from Nu-Agane -

As I re-done the intake manifold cover, everything else had to get done -

As soon as you start cleaning up one thing, the next looks dirty, so -

Battery Tray -

Engine Coolant Reservoir -

Out with the rig again last week to try out some additional filters and a revised set up on my rig to aid rigidity.

Oh, and I couldn't resist taking a micro-fibre to my wheels just to make sure they look good in the final shot :)
