getting ek9 undersealed?

Hi i recently bought an ek9 and i want to get it undersealed. can anyone reccomend any companies?

Somewere around the bedfordshire/buckinghamshire area?

why not do it yourself? will be cheaper than going to get it done

were can you get it from? do you have to do the whole underside?

Halfords is pretty good for underseal/waxoyl, just make sure to warm it up a bit if it's in a can so it's easier to spray.

Clean and wash the bottom of your car, rear arches and under the bumpers and sideskirts then just paint/spray it on.

Underseal with waxoyl or just waxoyl will keep the rust away

I did mine about two months ago and am going to check on it this weekend and might give it an extra coat if necessary.

Supposed to prevent the cause of rust i.e water and air corroding the metal and even fight it, but you can't do much about rust other than remove it physically in my opinion.

I had mine done by rustmaster in hertfordshire, not too far from you. You'll pay a fair bit more but you'll get a much better result as they have all the equipment to do it properly.

I did attempt it myself but just wasn't satisfied that the job was done properly, so i'd recommend these guys.

was around 300 IIRC, took around 3 or so hours and its in the middle of bloody nowhere so had no choice but to wait it out. Had a couple of skylines there to browse over and some good mags + unlimited coffe though, so the wait weren't too bad. Nice guy that runs it too..

Depends where you drive it; muddy, gravel tracks will remove more waxoyl than clean-ish water and the occasional stone from the motorway, but a year at least I would estimate.
