hi, went to the chiropracter today, car got there great! Only to come out and find a massive pond ( puddle doesnt do it justice) in the passengers side foot well....???
The car is stripped inside and only has 2 bucket seats, a gearstic dash and handbrake. No bottles of anything that could have caused it, or anything.
Anyone have an idea what on earth it may be and why/where it came from?? smells kind of like antifreeze, but mines pink and i cant contemplate how antifreeze would have even made it in..

any way, any input would be greatly taken on board, its driving me mad , almost nuts enough to go out and get the petrol and matches...

What/where would this green death fluid have come from?

Thanks in advance
Dan

Could be coolant. From the heat exchange matrix thing for the inside heater for the car. Might have a possible leak

Bit wierd if you got no heater matrix to leak and you said your anti freeze is red and not green, could it be rear screen wash fluid if youve got a rear sceen wash?

what sid said is the first thing that came to mind.usually when you have that leak,it's from your heater core but you mention that your antifreeze is RED.now that really threw me for a loop.let me know if you found out what the issue is or was.G/L

did you ever remove your heater core?

there is the possibility that if your not using the heater core and you plugged it up,just maybe thats the old green antifreeze that was in the system.if your not using it,the fluid isnt being circulated,so it would probably still be green.

Shouldnt really be air con fluid as pag oils clear, unless it had tracer dye in it and that stuff stinks

i assume he found out what the issue was cause he has not responded.

Thanks for the reply's guys , got an unexpected exam tomoro so theres no time for the civic until tomoro night:/ I'll get back on here once I've had a proper look, I just mopped it up and garaged it until the coursework is done. Thanks for the ideas, hopefully one of them is the solution!

Cheers for your time
Dan

Heater matrix behind your dash is after bursting Id reckon man!

Hey guys, it looks to have leaked out of a pipe under the glovebox area, am I right in thinking that is the heater matrix? Have to move it to a mates garage for work on it anyways so will it be safe to drive aslong as I don't use the heaters? Think the previous owner took the air con out aswel if that would have caused the green fluid left in the heater matrix? I'm not the most technical person, so thanks once again for all your input!
