Ground clearance on stock suspension

Right, got a hytech replica header with the usual ground clearance issues. Recently i moved to an area with loads of uphills and really shity roads and clearance was a huge problem.

Now i have KONI yellows with eibach springs, and the good thing with KONI`s is that the rings on the shock can be relocated allowing one to adjust ride height. What i did was go to a machinist and make grooves higher than the original spec to lift the car a few cm, but because the springs are more compressed ride is really bumpy. So i was thinking going to OEM ek9 suspension which is a good all around suspension, great factory set up, but i`m not sure if it`s the right height from ground.

So who can tell me what the height with 195/50(or55)/15 tyres is? And also might be interested in a second hand one if the price is right.

as i can see your header needs to be fixed the last section of the header is pointing to the ground that makes that angle to the cat too and all this gives that extra bad clearence.
almost all tri-y replicas has bad fitment.
a friend had the same problem he fixed it cutting the 2-1 section and rewelding it again.

hope that helps :nice:

i had that option too but didn`t go ahead with it, Maybe in a more trusty exhaust shop.

hasn`t anyone on stock suspension ever measured front wing to ground distance?

oem suspension height is perfect for situations like yours and will handle better than konis on general roads

no fitment problems here with my hytech, oem like fit, just sits really low which i hate and damaged/repaired few times as a result

Cheers for the reply mate! Any guess how much these go new and used? Dealers don`t have any JDM parts here, and don`t even bother to order them.
:thanks:

oem suspension is anywhere from 100-200 for what ive seen and sold sets myself, depends on mileage/use
