I'm looking to get more power in my dc2 now.
I have been looking into building up my b18 to try and get around 220-230bhp with internals but looking at costs I could do a H22a7 conversion and do a few bits to that engine for less money.
My biggest concern with doing this conversion is how will it handle after putting the more weight up front. Sacrificing the awesome handling the dc2 has is not really an option for me.
Has anyone had experience with this conversion in a dc2 or maybe even a ek9?
I know the overall weight between the H22 and b18c is about 19kg and I could take abit of weight off the front by getting a fiberglass bonnet ect.

Any views and discussion would be great!

The Performance Autoworks DC2 runs a H, I think Rich has the most wins for the last two years of the Vtec Challenge, it probably handles okay..

19kg shouldn't be too hard to take off the front of the car. Removing air con lightweight bonnets etc. lightened flywheel? You'll get that weight off eventually. But then that's more costs so?

Oh I didn't know that, Ill check out that dc2 then!
Well A/C and PAS have already been removed from the car so suppose its off to a start and am planning to get a fiberglass bonnet anyway, would be upgrading to a lightened flywheel and would go for a aftermarket manifold so save some weight there too I guess

Yeah add that lot up I bet your over the 19kg.
