Cheers mate :thanks: so buy the time i've finsihed replacing the junk its cgonna cost 3k anyway.

I may just have to dig deep, gag the wife and go for the greddy kit then lol. Why i have you attention blinx i want around 300whp but bottom end wise was only gonna do:

pistons, thicker gasket and arp head bolts. Will i be good for 300 rampaging horses? Its not my daily car as i have the impreza for that and will be tuned by will?
 
If will is tuning it you should ask him, i am pretty sure he may tell you to just use an OEM headgasket though.

OEM rods will handle that power level easily but you may have a hard time finding a shop that can fit aftermarket pistons to OEM rods. Might as well get a set of eagle rods, for $300 there a bargain.

Consider the Edelbrock Performer X turbo kit (the one that does not come with EMS), it comes with a GT28RS turbo that is good for up to 350whp while the Greddy kit can only manage about 250whp if your lucky...
 
Cheers for the advice, looks like eaglr rods are going in as well then, also found a place in the uk who have edlebrock kits in stock :))
