hey guys need some imput on what could possible be up with my b18c4 head
about a month ago timing jumped 3 teeth 5 bent valves got the valves replaced. got the valves clearences done, tappty as you go up through the revs, first though was BAD LMA's got them replaced yesterday same problem.
as for the head rebuild i just did the valves as i was told id get away with it am thinking theres somthing else ado there maybe bent valve gudies
so what does everyone think ?. If i cant get rid of this tappeting am tempted to put a c6 head onto the c4 block
thanks

The only logical thing i can think of is damaged valve guides depending on the severity of the bends on the valves, have the guides checked for clearances.

well as i say changed valves but not the valve guides, changed the LMA's as well really dont wanna go put a new head on but the noise is driving me nuts lol

depends how much ? just wanting to know if bad guides can cause ticking/ tapping if so i'll order new guides heads beging to cost me now and dont wanna really spend much more on it, when i could get a new head, would it be worth doing an oil change as ive not done it yet ?

Yeah guides aren't that cheap and you have to send the head to a machine shop to get them interference fitted.

The head I've got includes valves, retainers Vtec solenoid and all cam caps etc.

The only things youl need are rockers, stem seals, valve springs and collets. Most of which could be used from the c4 head.

Being a c5 type r head the intake is ported from the factory which Is a bonus.
Im looking for £50 and I'm guessing the postage will be around £25
