So about half a year ago I tool my dials out as I had new ones to fit, took the wee pin out then dials but then couldn't fit mines as they need to be welded as well I think. So put it back together and then later on I realised my revs were 1.5k higher than it should be, when I switch my engine off its sitting at 1.5k but could never be arsed fixing it.

A few days ago I tried to fix the pin back, kept mucking around but couldn't get it and then got to the point it wouldn't move.. Oops :/ how do I fix this? Been driving about now without knowing where the revs are lol. now it just stays at 2.5k whether engine is on or not.

And yes I know I'm an absolute tit! :(

On the other hand looks pretty sweet now cos I fitted my carbon surround while I was at it :D

pull the needle of and put it on again but put it on very lightly. it doesnt have to be all the way down the pin to work.

I tried that while i tried to fix it, switched the engine off a while with the pin out since i thought the thing would go back to its original place so when i put it in, it would be at 0, but didnt work. and if it finally moved it didnt go up, it went down instead? :/ put the pin half way down but it just drops to the end anyway lol

When your needle is just over half way it should fall slowly round to 8k and a little bit before halfway it should slowly fall down to 0 trial and error I managed with mine but it might not even be the problem
