went out and changed the thermostat on my b16a2, put everything back the way i got it, topped up the lost coolent, went to start the engine, allowed it to tick over, then i noticed it was getting hard to idle and it cut out and wont start now at all?!
anyone able to shed some light on this ASAP!
:thanks:

Check the earth wires on the engine, there are a few on the thermostat housing area
Also check connections to idle control valve,
Air lock won't make it stall

after checking all the earth wires and they are 100%, a bit of smoke was leaving the thermostat housing area when it was idling too. still not starting?

Are the earths clean if in any doubt clean them up with some sand paper,
Double check all your connections around that area it's likely something simple

hoping its something simple my head is fried now from it not starting :/
any other ideas or things to do before i go back out ?
appreciating the help !

cleaned the earth down with sandpaper and tried it again and still no joy..

sanded down the earth beside the housing , dirt and dampness from the coolant that spilled around the housing seemed to affect it a bit too
