im new to this and im 17, im looking at a civic 1.4i and i dont know what it is because i know there is alot of different versions, isnt there a ej6, ek4 ect... does anyone know what this one would be without pics? i know it has a small wing below the rear window? help, its a 97 civic. cheers

Hi welcome to the site and check out wiki or do google search to find your answer, this site mainly concentrate on Ek9s but also other models are considered. GL with the hunt

Have a look at the chassis number in the engine bay (should be stamped into the firewall), it will start EJ/EK/etc..

also fogot to mention the the first 2 letter will let you know the type and the number after its the type

I have a 1997 EJ9 which is a 1.4i, sold as a basic civic "Initial" others i have seen are "Tornado", "Fusion", "Hawaii", "Tropica" and "Sport"

Dont know about the wing though, this could be an add-on and not a popular one at that if the posts on here are anything to go by.
