HELP GUYS!!! my 97 plate honda civic is f***ed!!! i stupidly let the battery go flat as i didnt start it for 5 weeks and now i got a hold of a friend and some jump leads... charged the battery up and tried to start the car up. this failed as the car just keeps ticking over and now the alarm is constantly going off which is also draining any charge the battery is getting? can anyone help me on getting this car started and the alarm either stopped or ripped out?

Your probably better off buying a new battery if yours is a few years old.

If that battery has been discharged for a period of time then it could've more than likely dropped a cell and therefore not hold its charge properly. (Trust me...I work with batteries for a living )

You can get a Honda Jazz battery (has the correct size terminals) from Honda for about £50 or I think Halfords can do one for about £60.

yeah when the car was not starting i had evreything gettin checked lol then checked google about immobiliser and told me to go through a procedure of locking and unlocking doors and hey itt worked lol
