hey guys

Ive got the money, just thought it looked a bargain but i guess you get what you pay for

My friend runs a body shop, he quoted me 1100 aslong as there isnt too many repair spots, he'd be making nothing from it, i have to have his shops logo in the windos though once he's named it

That us true, but it is over priced at 6400 i believe? If i was paying that much I'd rather wait for the other black turbo'd one to come back around and go the whole way

That is only bare surface rust in the pics could be sanded to bare metal so long as it hasnt been filled already.

And then primed an sprayed so its up to your self really.

They are lovely cars in black though

Got a lead on one with only 50 k km on the clock -

and a light weight spec turbo one in sliver running 370 bhp fully forged with spoon 1800

Careful, there was a rough silver one going about that was turbo, not sure it was forged though.
Turbo Forged by spoon 1800 just sounds abit.... You know?

"Three Honda Civics with Spoon engines, and he ordered three T66 turbos, with NOS..."

Sorry couldn't resist :alone:

You're best of buying one from the forum. Any ek9 owner who is an enthusiast is going to be on here, and most the cars, unless they are fresh imports, are known to the members so you can get a good idea of the history. It is better to spend maybe a little bit more on a car that is known to be looked after, than some bargain that has no history. Maybe speak to type-r-dunk see if he has anything, or if money isn't too much of a problem and you don't mind waiting, you could import? Exchange rates are good at the moment. But there are always clean, well looked after cars popping up on the forum, and people on here are always pretty genuine!

Pretty much what I was thinking lol
Buy a nice clean one and turbo it yourself?

That was my initial idea, the engine isnt by spoon, its just fully forged and ive got a load of pictures of parts and what nit, chassis is real clean no rust on slight surface rust on the front left arch and its pushing 380.1bhp on low boost, it looks promising, im not.jumping in at it yet,it isnt officially for sale hes jusy playing with the idea, its a friend of a friend:)

Cheers bud, i check the for sale section religiously, and ive looked online but not found a single black one for import

The silver 9 looks alright, maybe not externally, but there has been a lot of money put into it. As long as the quality of the engine build has matched that of the quality of the parts then it should be a very good engine. I don't really know much about forced induction so couldn't comment on the value but i'm sure @jesse888 here, or one of the other turbo happy members, could give you a better idea of the value of it as they probably have a good insight into the costs of a turbo 9. Also knowing the car through a friend is always a good thing.

Black 9s are definitely harder to find than cw 9s, which then makes them slightly more expensive. Sometimes you just have to figure out what is more important, colour, mods, condition etc.. No shortage in Japan though it seems. Think I have seen six go through auctions in the last month, ranging from £4-7k landed in the UK. Although rarely see turbo ones over there.

Thanks again matey, If i get the silver one it'll definitely end up black either way, i personallycouldn't justify spending that much on the engine ao buying something like this would be perfect, however restoring the bodywork and making it more exclusive by being black would be worth the money, i read somewhere about how many ek9s were made, 16k in total, with only (i am led to believe) less than 2000 black.
the black one I make reference too sold for 9k, and was flawless, tucked, caged and made very very pretty with a b18 turbo making 350, really I want to be paying around 7 surely based on that as the cars exterior looks like its seen better days?
