Hi
NEED A DECENT HID KIT FOR MY EK9 ANY 1 ON HERE KNOWS ANY THING ABOUT THESE AS THERES LOADS ON EBAY AND NEED 1 ASAP. THANKS. EK_9R

Stick to decent h4 bulbs, you will just blind people as the ek9 headlights are not "projector" so will just scatter the beam.

Look at PIAA bulbs or if on a budget then OSRAM nightbreakers or likes.

Jdmland is coming out with some high level lights, maybe you can check it.

I second this...

I use to have piaa bulbs and it is the best bulbs I ever have. the only problem with these bulbs is the life of them. 6 to 20 months is the life on these bulbs. the last 6 years I have hid kit on my ek and aim super happy with them. never have any problem
I have to chance 3 set of bulbs to find the write one for my car. never blind the other cars too

I have had hid's in the past and they were great.... for me but after a while of people flashing me (thinking i had main beam on) i decided to remove them.

Can hid's not also damage ek9 headlights due to the heat or am i talking nonsense?

Id go for a good set of H4 bulbs, as others have mentioned the headlight aint designed for an HID, and it also looks a little sh*t.

Could go for a yellow bulb and be proper JDM :)

I'm running H4 high/low beams HID kit, 8000k in the civic and 6500k in the glanza, with no issues so far. The only reactions of anger I get from motorists is in the off roader which has 8000k and lights up a football pitch..lol o_O

I think people get the impression its ok to run these hid kits and often say " never had any problems" etc.

Thats because the person you blinded cant even see after being hit with the beam to react and let you know!

I check my headlights to a professional to adjust them on factory spec and it was like the factory ones .
lot off my friends said to me that is very bright put not blind them.(if you have the low beam)
anyway this is my opinion.

Yes I understand there may be few that are not as bad, you already stated trying 3 different bulb set ups before you where happy.
I did have a set in my own car approx 8 years ago and took them out after few months.

Thanks for all the replys chaps just got hold of a self adjusting hid kit which apparently u adjust the bulb holder itself the level you require from blinding other road users also got hold of some yellow bulbs so shall be fitting them over the weekend and will update u guys hopefully without blinding any 1.

Don't go for HIDs, stick to a decent set of bulbs... All your going to get is abuse and fines for having HIDs
