Honda Civic ej9 / b16a conversion help please

Hi I'm doing a conversion to my ej9 2000 model with a b16a from a del sol I've done the engine swap got it all wired up and running but for some reason it doesn't vtec ??? Engine management light is on ... Basically in first and second gear you can hear the cross over but there's no power need help please any one that can help I'm really stuck now tried to get it diagnosed from local garage and they couldn't do it I'm stuck need help PLEASE !!

Cheers for that buddy I diagnosed it and it flashed 8 times quickly and 2 times slowly so I'm thinking that's fault code 28 but I can seem to find that code any where in the tables ???
