I'm not sure if you are aware of this, so i thought i'd share it here:

Honda Japan has published various old press releases regarding the EK9 (sadly only Pre-facelift) on their website. some called "Fact book".
Obviously in japanese, but you can translate it with google translate or so.

1) Civic 6th generation overview of all press releases, including EK9
https://global.honda/jp/news/1997/4970822.html

2) EK9 typeR specific "Fact book". Around 20 pages or so of images and explanation of the EK9 type R.
You have to navigate through the different chapters on the right side. in each chapter and on the main page you can navigate with the "Next page / previous page" buttons below it. Well worth the time!

The story is divided in an general overview, and the following chapters:
- The birth of the Civic type R
- Development of the Civic Type R
- Civic type R's embodied technologies
- Main equipment and specification tables
For e.g. the "how the EK9 was made lighter" table. Many things from these story have been published in magazines over the year but it's nice to see it all in one place:

3) EK9 typeR Press release photos, including photos and drawings of the complete car, but also details like brakes, suspension, steering wheels, interieur, differential, airbag function and things not seen very often.
Including 4 EPS (Vector graphic) files
You will first only see other Civic photos, but you have to cllick the "Show more" button, and then approx 23 Press photos from the EK9 will appear.

Thanks for sharing! Translate to English in Chrome works perfect :)

That's cool, has anyone found anything further for the DC2? There is this:

Not sure why but it seems like all Japanese websites have usability from about 2001.
