Hi people some times my honda won't start! It's getting air,fuel,spark and Turing over its not the coil cause it sparking good! Then if I pull start it in second gear it fires up and this only happens like once a month I'm so confused!? :angry2: it's a,1.4 2000 honda civic uk spec! I put new plugs,battery,coil pack anything that I might have over looked any help would be great! :)):thanks:

Well I have a volt gauge in the car and she's reading a good strong 14v when driving and a solid 12v when starting I thought it mite have been the battery but its sparking and Turing over, keep em coming all help is welcome thanks mate ;)

main relay

also, just because the volt meter is reading 14v does not mean the battery is holding a good charge. but you say your getting it to turn over and getting spark which to me rules this out as being the issue.

try a new or working main relay...I hate electrical issues.

Will try this in the morning I looked up a few videos on bad main relays so we see how I go from there thanks for the help! :) :bow::thanks:
 
Bump people I can hear the main relay and the fuel pump working fine and went when I rolled it down a hill in second gear any other things I could be missing gets fuel, spark, air, and battery is fine????? Please help as I really love this car but if I can't figure it out ill have to get rid of it!!! hELp
 
Do you still have sensors inside the dizzy like the crank sensor?

Usual intermittent faults can be traced here
 
Are you getting any error codes?

Like on B and D series dizzys, they usually have sensors inside the dizzy like a crank sensor and camshaft position sensor amongst other stuff, if one of them is off it can give you an intermittent starting problem

Just something else to check
 
Na mate no codes for it dunno it mite just be a weak dizzy i know I am getting spark but ill change it and see how I go
 
Ok so I changed the dizzy today to find out that the old one I had in was after ******* up the coil and that was the second coil park into the same dizzy so just replaced the whole lot so the wait now goes on to if it happens again!
