i've been trying to get a good "In car" video shot...
i always get crappy audio... it's always too much wind noise or too much ambient sound ... can't really get a good exhaust/induction sound..
no matter if the windows are up or down.
WHY????

Not trying to be rude but maybe other people are using better cameras? But to be honest every in car video i have seen has been pretty shitty quality, i think the best way though is to have a cage with a camera mount... Also keep in mind our honda's do not have a whole lot of sound deadening so there is a lot of resonance going on in the cabin at high revs.

this might sound really stupid i'm using a compact digital camera sony t300. do i really need a digital video camera? i think it's kinda bulky to mount it in a car.

Digital cameras are not meant to be a high quality video camera aswell , its just an add-on sales thing.. A digital video camera is the only way with a decent mount if your serious enough..

i have a chasecam complact flash recorder and sony bullet cam mounted to the cage in my rally car, works superbly, can hear the car and we also have our intercom plugged into it to record the pace notes.

you can get some good screen suction mounts for handycams etc, but anything with moving parts (tape, hard disc, mini dvd etc) is going to struggle in a fast moving vehicle.

lol... wel there is a sweet spot, it worked very well on my last two phones.... on driver's side sun visior there is a little holding strap which happens2 be exact fitment of my camera phone an in the day shoot's good quality video's, not much wind noise, can hear engine!!!
