How to tell an NSX-R....pics!?

NA1-R - 6,000,000 JPY - 9,500,000 JPY depending on colour, mileage and condition. Divide by 145 for GBP FOB price from Japan.

NA2-R 13,500,000 JPY - 20,000,000 JPY depending on colour, mileage and condition. Divide by 145 for GBP FOB price from Japan.

Basically - a lot.

 Didnt realise they were so expensive! £138 000 :angry2:

.......cool car tho.

The Yen certainly hasn't helped.

NA1-R would have been around £52,000 OTR in the UK this time last year
NA2-R around £105,000 OTR.

You always get comments from people saying we were ripping people off with our 'R prices. Unfortunately with the demand far out weighing availability in Japan prices just keep on rising!

My old NA1-R was bought new in Japan in 1994 for 11,950,000 JPY with air-con and stereo. It would fetch around 8,000,000 JPY in Japan now 14 years on.

Anyone who bought a CW NA2-R for 11,950,000 JPY in 2002 is sitting on a good investment as if the condition and mileage are right, you can make a tidy 6,000,000 JPY - 8,000,000 JPY profit!

A portion of the 'R's have been exported to Hong Kong which is only fuelling further price rises in Japan.

I see. I guess if you want a super car you have to pay super car prices. I think the exclusivity of such a car would be tempting for someone to buy(who has the money of course).

The remarkable engineering of the car would be the icing on the cake.

Time to start saving perhaps :D

Japan has very low interest rates so borrowing isn't so crippling like it is here.:nono:

I have a couple of pics on fastjapcars.com of a NSX-R :nice:

Note in the interior pic you can see the suede on the dash, carbon center console, carbon dash, just about see the red trim of the kevlar seats.

Dash was OEM fitment on the 'R.
Carbon dash/door parts were optional extras. I think they looks stunning myself.:)

Loads of pics here of my old 'R: Index of /old/NSX-R
