Hi guys, I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that hsd are now doing a cheaper option of coilover called the dt range. They're 275 quid cheeper than their hr range... I was just wondering if anyone has any dts and would they recommend them?

Hi i have a set in my garage, i'll have them fitted then shall be getting a fast road set up and i'll tell you how they are, although im sure anything is an improvment from my £100 corsa coilovers lol

And I thought I was budgeting with £500 coilees haha

cool, when you getting them on pal?

Cause im looking to get a set of hsds within the next week or so, bit I don't wanna pick to wrong ones... :/

I'm only running a 1.4 ek9, that I might track a few times a year so I dont think it's worth getting the hrs, but I don't wanna budget if they're not actually gonna make a worthwile difference

im on the same boat as Jrdn92. I have the exact same set that is going on soon, hopefully in the next month. See to be honest, if you bought these. I would highly doubt you would be picking up the "wrong ones" and as you said you've only got a 1.4, and it's an ej9 btw :p

I think you'd be happy with them and i'm dying to get mine on. plus free wham bar too from driftworks. these would be better than any ebay one anyway

I'm certainly no expert on suspension but if you compare the one i have bought to the HRs the only difference in description is spring rates everything else is adjustable,

I think I will end up getting the dts, I'll save the money for something rwd next year...

As for the ej9 thing, It was a mis-type on my phone lol...

I bet i look like a proper noob now

I did a little research earlier and the only difference i could find was the hrs are a monotube damper with pillow ball top mount, and the dts are a two tube damper with rubber top mounts...

I don't know exactly what the performance difference would be, but I don't think its great enough for my needs
