i think that it's possible but you will have to do some research and chassis modifications!

If you can stick a h22 in a civic then a b20 should be a breeze

mitsu engine does not have any more potential than a h22 or b20vtec unless your going to make it allwheel drive. stick with a honda motor. if you must put a different engine in a civic for some reason use a legendery engine like teh rb26dett or 13brew, or even a 2jzgte.
