ARGH,
I was in an accident last week that wasn't my fault. A guy pulled straight out infront of me at a T-Junction and I hit him at about 30mph.
I have witnesses and the guy has admitted liability to both myself and the police that attended. We both got breath tested obviously and that was all fine.
I have had one of the insurance companies repairers out this morning to take a look and he suspects its going to be written off due to the cost of sourcing parts, what with it being a 9 and all. Front bumper is cracked from top to bottom, grill is smashed, bonnet is bent quite a lot and has had a lot of paint taken off. Both front wings are fked! and the front panel that the radiator bolts to is twisted. Im totally gutted
I now have to deal with the bloody insurance company. I need to prove what the car is worth. I have a feeling the insurance company is going to try and bend me over
The car was insured for £7000 but I get the feeling this figure is going to be irrelevant.
Condition below...
99 EK9 Facelift
69k on the clock
Just had £400 spent on a service at TGM including cam belt, valve clearences, engine oil, gearbox oil and an engine mount replaced.
SHEDLOAD of history from Japan.
Good condition all round.
What sort of figure should I be trying to get out of them as I would like another 9 thats of the same condition, if not better.
/me cries
