Well, i sold my 92 Accord dohc F22 wagon 5sp a couple days ago, and picked up a EK as a new project today. I am no stranger to Honda's, i've have 25 of them now if i remember correctly. I still have an RSX and a CRX showcar which are my other pride and joys

Anyhow on to the new (used) car, ha ha I got a smoking deal on it. I picked it up from a girl who didn't want it anymore car it wouldn't start one morning. After a few days she had it towed to a shop only to have them tell her te fuel pump wasn't working, so it sat a couple more weeks till today where she decided to give it to me for only $1500 canadian. I gladly excepted, and bought the car. Not sure, but pretty sure one i get it home, all i'll need to do it drop in a new main relay and call it a day. Here's a couple pics...

Now, i have has the original engine checked out only to find it had no compression. For the time being, i will be swapping in a 2000 model CRV B20Z this weekend. Sometime over this summer i will finish off an extra Type R engine i have sitting in the garage complet with a stroker kit bringing displacement to 2.0L. I figure why not go crazy and enjoy what the chassis really has to offer.
If anyone has any other suggestions, reply away, i always enjoy feedback
Oh yeah, btw its a 1996 CX with about 120K on it. The chassis is straight, the paint is good (just a little dirty in the pics), and these pics are what it looked like as i came to pick it up
Thanks, Deetz

I just ordered them from Japan today, we'll see how long it takes for them to get here ;)

Well, i dropped of the rest of my swap parts off at the shop today. Too bad its winter outside, otherwise i'd do the work myself, lol
Anyway, my engine is a jdm spec B20 which is stamped a B20B. It is the later, higher comprssion version from a 1999-2000 model like the usdm B20Z. Here's a pic of the version i have and the funky low rise intake manifold design.

^^ Thanks.....well, i got the car running with it's new 2.0L engine today! As soon as i clean it uo a bit, i'll post some updated pics of the install.
With the large increase of torque, i can't wait to see what it will do. My real only performance upgrades at this point are a oda flywheel, Edelbrock header, and an Injen short ran intake. We'll see what she does shortly.

which trans you gonna use?

The sawp is already done. The B20B is a jdm spec 1999 model, and the gearbox is a 1998 LS. The car is running obd1 on a P75 ecu

The future does hold some serious upgrades though. I have a 1999 B18C5 and tranny waiting for a future swap. The engine is stroked, giving a 2.0L displacment to keep torque numbers up

this looks good! :nice:

welcome!! how many bhp is the B20 apporx pushes..?

welcome, thats a nice setup, I've seen that setup in some race ej6s here, they have a lot of potential!

Update:

Picked up the car today....its lots of fun. I still have a couple bugs to sort out , but i'll play with it a bit. Here's a couple shots of it cleaned up, and with the engine installed

Looks good:nice: What cars come stock with that engine hav'nt seen it before? Hp?

That B20B came from Japan out of a 1999 Honda Orthia. It has different pistons and intake manifold from other models with a 9.6:1 compression ratio making and under rated 146hp and 134 ft lbs torque. I've seen stock vesions of this engine make 137hp to the wheels. The thing to remember about this setup is torque, it makes a lot, right off of idle, even to pass, i don't need to shift down.

This engine setup was also found in 1999-2000 model Honda CRV's

i would not mind having the B20B frm a CR-V to convert my 1.6 Dohc vtec to a 2.0 Dohc vtec! :D recognised as a 'Frankienstien convertion!' :nice:

anybody know if there is MUCH into that convertion?

Update time:

This last weekend i installed a red stitch jdm EK4 steering wheel

I also had the exhaust done from the header back with 2 1/4 inch pipe into a Mugen style twin loop muffler, it sounds pretty good, and not loud
