Hi Guys wondering if anyone can help with a in car fuel set up? I have read the stickies about the OEM system being fine etc. However, I am serious about weight saving and also plan to run a centre line exhaust so the tank has been removed.

The set up I intend to run is to fuel a K20 EG (looking at around 250bhp). The proposed set up is as follows:

Alloy Fuel Cell,
Facet Red Top pump feeding,
1.5L Swirl Pot to a,
Inline Fuel Filter to a,
Bosch 044,
Line to,
K-Tuned Rail, Reg etc
Return line back to the tank/swirl pot

I have done a fair amount of research on this in the hope of answering my questions but would like some advice from knowledgable people before I commit to ordering the set up.

Thanks in advance for any support :))

What's the application? Drag car?

Way too hardcore for 250hp.

I'd run an in-tank walbro 255, they are good for 450hp. Inline filter and braided and Teflon lined hose running from tank to rail and return.

I appreciate what your saying but as mentioned the standard tank has been removed in order to run the exhaust down the centre of the car before coming over to the side for maximum flow - it will literally be 1 45 degree bend in the entire system. I am also keen to be able to drop some weight and reduce drag under the car. I appreciate it is over spec'd in the regard of what it will be fueling but I intend to do it for the aforementioned reasons.

Like said above its major overkill but I get why you want to go down the moving the tank route.

To be honest I would only going that extreme on a full race car, wouldn't fancy a fuel tank in a car unless I was wearing a race suit and fire resistant inderwear!

Tanks that are fitted in car should be enclosed, you will also need proper aeroquip or goodridge hose that allows you to run fuel through the car as other wise it will stink, it may look cool and your trying to lose weigh but any gains you may find they will be diminished by the fact that you have raised the cog of the car. Also one 044 fuel pump with a proper sumped tank will be more than you will need.
