Is my 9 a racebase?

ah you have a yellow one. Race base are always white.

If its a Race base model you can see it on the bottom line

They never made one as far as im aware. Maybe like mine it was just specced without certain things. Im glad mine hasnt got abs. Windows are a little annoying. Saves weight though :p
 
I have a lightweight - no electric windows, ABS, traction control or airbags but has tints & A/C, full. Recaro interior etc.

I prefer it without any of the driving assists. Makes it more of the raw racer it's meant to be! Better for track etc!

Yours will be the same spec as mine ;)

I have read that the electric windows are actually lighter than manual ones, someone actually weighed them online, very little difference in it though.
I'll be deleting the abs in my current 9, don't like it lol
 
I deleted abs in my 1st ek9, much better pedal feel and I've locked on track many times aswell. Just a very slight lift on the pedal until full braking comes back usually works for me.
Coming from that to the current abs 9 I've lost of confidence in the brake pedal tbh. Just feels long and disconnected when really on the pedal.
 
Indeed! Yeah I let the brakes off and then back on again & sorted it. I flat spotted one of my tyres and had a little wheel wobble after a track session :angry: But new tyres now so sorted :D

Usually helps having confidence in your brakes haha
 
Yeah I've always struggled with the brakes tbh. Wasn't until the ring trip last year that I was leaning on them enough to make me happy.
If the pedal doesn't feel right I can't push it lol
 
Well personally since I upgraded my brake setup & actually broke them in properly after the fading episode they've been brilliant!

Yeah don't want to be pushing it with dodgey brakes!
 
The brakes are fine, I just can't get on with the pedal feel with the abs pump in the system.
I'll be glad to get rid of it!
 
Ah yes I understand. I missed the point a bit there :S lol no ABS ftw!
 
Was going to run without power steering in the first ek9, hoped it would do the same for the steering feel.
Maybe if I get bored I can give that a crack on this one.
 
Well that does truly complete the race car feel! But myself I will keep the PS because I use it as a daily, sod wrestling it round Asda carpark haha
 
I can't help but go to extremes lol
I want to try it so I can say i did and have the knowledge of what it feels like on track. But don't want it on the road lol
 
Lol shame there isn't an on/off switch for the PS system! Could have the best of both then
 
Other than taking the belt off.
But you can disable the abs and it still feels like ****, no doubt steering will be the same
 
Yeah but that's just a ball ache. Changed all my belts a few months ago, what a nightmare! Especially the crank bolt lol.
